Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Dear family and friends,
It has been a while since I have gotten the time to write but I have had a lot of experiences here in Guatemala and I have been learning a lot of interesting things I experienced cool things too like, when it rains it REALLY RAINS!, a few earthquakes and crazy weather changes and even though peple here don’t speak a different language their talk a little different than home (México), they eat different things and they dress different too but they LOVE and WORSHIP the same God.
HE is doing GREAT things here!

I only have 7 weeks more in Guatemala and I can´t explain how challenging this year has been to me. I have learned a lot about God´s love to the people of this world. HE IS ON THE MOVE!

My time here hasn´t been easy. I have had times when I felt lonely, sad and anxious but I trust in my Lord. He is my strength because it is not only in the the easy times that we need to look up and praise our God, but in the times when we feel like our faith is been tested.

Every day I pray for God guidance, I pray for family and friends back home I pray that even thought I am not there physically they will know I love them and think about them often.

I want to say thank you to all the supporters and to God for allowing me the opportunity to be here teaching in Guatemala. My time is coming to an end but God´s work is NOT over and I want to ask you to please keep praying for Pastor Cesar Gómez and his family as they continue to develop their ministry. They still have some many needs like new buildings for their school (Bethesda), and people with the desire to support children with their Education.

I don’t know what is the next step for me or the next challenge God will have for me but I am sure that he has a plan for my life and that I will go or do whatever he asks because this is what I am here for, to listen and follow him.
Please pray for God´s plan for my life and that he makes it clear to me. Thank you again and I hope all of you are doing GREAT and that God is moving in your lives too.
Blessings to all!

“I am the way” (John 14:6)

Hey Everyone!

These people who you see in the picture are a group of God's servants that have graduated from the Bethesda Bible School, which has a partnership with the Intenational Word Fellowship Bible School in Oklahoma.

These people have GREAT hearts for our Lord and they want to become pastors, missionaries and evangelist so that they can share their lives and their time to show others the love of God.

One of these graduates will even be pastoring a church in Cincinnati, Ohio!

---Here is a picture of Pastor Nelson Nataniel Escobar Velasquez and his family

There were 40 students of all ages in this graduating class and it made me happy to see so many young people that want to dedicate their lives to follow and serve Jesus.

I want to ask you to please keep praying for Bethesda Ministries and my work with the children at the Bethesda School and pray for these SPECIAL people!

Blessings!

Lord,You are good!!!

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

Hello brothers and sisters in Christ!

This time I want to share with you a story about three students who came from a little town called Sipacapa to Tejutla. They came here to study in the Bethesda Educational Center thanks to the support of a family from the United States, The Pfisters. Their names are Bryan,Rachel and Wilmer and they are very happy with all the friends they have at school and everything they are learning in their classes. They are learning about Jesus too and how He loves them so much that He moves peoples hearts in order to help them to study. Some of these students' relatives live in Cincinnati, including their parents. They are excited for their children and are grateful with God and with the Pfister family and pray every day for their children. They encourage their sons and daughters to value and enjoy this new opportunity.
Bethesda Ministries wants to help more children that don't have the opportunity to go to school because there is not a school where they live or because they can't pay the fees for inscription, books, materials, and uniforms.
I ask you to please pray for these three special students, Brian, Rachel and Wilmer, and their families and also that God would place a desire in others' hearts to enable more children like these to achieve a quality education in a Christian environment.

If you have an interest in supporting a student at the Bethesda Educational Center, please contact me at chispitamrc@gmail.com.

THANKS be to GOD! 2 Corinthians 9

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. 2 Corinthians 9:10, 11, 12

Hey everybody!

God has been blessing my life with some amazing new opportunities and I am excited to share some of these with all of you. I hope that He has been doing the same in your lives as well! He is doing some absolutely wonderful things in Tejutla. I have been here for several weeks already and I have been so blessed by the people around me,especially the children. They are so cute! And they love learning English.
The English classes started last week and it has been a blast!
Many ofthe students have family members living in the United States and really want to improve their English skills so that they can practice with their families, so I hope I can help them to realize that goal.
I have been staying with Pastor Gomez and his family in Tejutla. I love staying here because they make me feel so welcome. They have agreat heart for God and I am so impressed by their ministry and everything they do to serve the community. I believe that staying here with them and seeing everything they do is helping me to understand more completely God's love and His purpose for my life. I am convinced, as I have been for some time, that serving God is the desire of my heart, and I am so ready to learn more about His perfect love so that I can serve Him better.
God bless you and thank you for all your prayers and support!

Welcome to Guatemala!

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
Psalm 121: 1-2

Guatemala is a beautiful place in which God's hand can be clearly seen. In the area exists breathtaking waters and mountains, volcanoes, and other natural wonders that words simply can't describe but upon seeing them it is easy to understand the power of Our Creator. We have an incredible God!

Guatemala is located in northern Central America and shares its northern border with Mexico. Around 6 million indigenous Mayans live in Guatemala, forming around 50% of the country's population. Most of the Guatemaltecos live in the southern region of the nation where the terrain is extremely mountainous and crowned by volcanoes.

I am going to be working in a small town called Tejutla. This town is located in the northwest highlands of Guatemala and is the location of Bethesda Ministries. I will be teaching English in the Bethesda Education Center, which is devoted to providing an affordable, quality education to the community members while also allowing the students to learn in a Christian environment.

God has placed in my heart a dream and a desire to serve Him. No matter where He calls, I will go, always confident in His promises because He has been so faithful to me. His love will never fail. I am excited for this new opportunity for my life and, with His blessing, I am prepared for the adventure that is just beginning.

In order to take advantage of this opportunity, I will need help from my faithful brothers and sisters of Christ! Because the ministry with which I will be working does not have the resources at this time to cover the cost of my employment for the year, I will need to raise my own support. The total support I need to raise is $4,800. This will cover my living expenses ($200/month) and a small salary ($200/month). I may have further needs later, but for now I am praying that the Lord will provide through His followers the funds needed to further His Kingdom. If you are interested in supporting me or would simply like more information, please email me at chispitamrc@hotmail.com or contact Kurt Kersey at kjkersey@me.com. I would very much appreciate any support and/or prayers you can offer!

Keep checking my blog for more posts, as I would love to share with you the journey that God takes me on this upcoming year!
